Camping Association of Serbia has commenced the project of initiating the development of camping tourism in the Danube region. The corridor 7 – the Danube, represents a highly significant framework of the development of tourism in Serbia and there is a great need for developing adequate means of lodging along its flow. The development of camping tourism is interesting to municipalities of the Danube region and for this reason Camping Association of Serbia started this project with the help of Tourism sector – the Ministry of economy and regional development. Exploring the possibilities and scanning the field has been completed in 15-odd municipalities of the Danube region from which 8 have been selected as the most perspective.
• Sombor • Apatin • Beočin • Sremski Karlovci • Novi Sad • Beograd • Kladovo • Negotin
These municipalities and their potential for developing camping have been presented in a bilingual (Serbian/English) brochure intended for investors. Investment brochure will be presented on the investment fairs in Serbia and Europe, and the most important event will surely be the Investment fair in March 2009, in Belgrade, organized by the World tourist organization (WTO). Municipalities Sombor, Apatin, Beočin and Sremski Karlovci meet all the parameters for domestic and foreign investments and they belong to the first investments level. On the other hand, Novi Sad, Beograd, Kladovo and Negotin have great potentials for developing camping, but at the moment do not own the necessary plan documentation, infrastructure, settled property-legal relations and clearly defined strategy of openness towards investors. Due to these reasons they belong to the second level of investments and will surely have great potential for development in the future. |
